Job Description

As Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for building and testing all new robotic equipment used in medical device implant surgeries. You will support the post sales maintenance of existing robotic equipment.  In addition, you will be responsible for the calibration and preventive maintenance on both new and existing robotic equipment.

 

Your duties will include:

  1. Responsible for the assembly and test of all robotic components prior to final shipment to customer
  2. Responsible for the calibration on all robotic components
  3. Responsible for installing robotic systems in the hospitals
  4. Conduct Preventive maintenance and all service maintenance on existing robotic systems placed in the field
  5. Support the validation of all camera systems used in support of robotic applications
  6. Timely communication and responsiveness with the Robotics Team and Salesforce (Distributors and Reps) to supply the necessary tools needed for sales calls, local meetings and patient education events. An in-depth understanding of the MPO robotic offerings is necessary in order to adequately supply teams and events with the needed items, implants and support materials.
  7. Ability to organize, manage, and send out, on time, as needed all equipment, and supplies needed for the success of events or surgeon demonstrations.
  8. Supports the US (or specific Region), working directly with Professional Education Planners and Managers to support as needed in planning, execution and follow up for successful events and trainings.
  9. Communicates and responds timely to MedEd, Marketing, Compliance, and all corporate workgroups.
  10. Ready to support events by being able to lead and assist on-site support staff at installation of robotic Equipment.  Ability to address set up issues and or address operational issues whether on site or in virtual format.
  11. Creates and maintains standard documentation for assembly procedures to ensure processes are well documented and accessible for future needs.
  12. Provide training to other manufacturing engineers if required to be able to perform the above-mentioned responsibilities adequately
  13. Must be able to travel (10-20%).

YOUR EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Preferred: Master's Degree/MBA

5+ years supporting medical device robotics operations and or sales
