JOB SUMMARY:
Performs entry level work in finishing products for Structure Medical, LLC. Performs various hand finishing operations. Uses gages, calipers and other measuring equipment to check and ensure part quality. Work is performed under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

- Reviews process Travelers to determine which activity to perform on units
- Selects tools to be used, utilizing knowledge of production requirements
- Ensures that tools needed for each task are available at the work stations
- Inspects or measures finished work pieces to determine conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as gages or micrometers
- Sets up, operates or tends grinding and related tools that remove excess material or burrs from surfaces; sharpens edges on corners or buffs, hones, or polishes work pieces
- Sets and adjusts machine controls according to product specifications, utilizing knowledge of machine operation
- Measures work pieces and lays out work, using precision measuring devices
- Visually inspects units and separates those with defects
- Reworks defects by performing deburring, sandblasting, and tumbling activities; quarantines or rejects and reports units that cannot be brought into specifications to Quality Inspector or Quality designee
- Delivers completed work to the lead worker in the unit
- Studies blueprints, work orders or machining instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements, and operational sequences
- Performs a variety of tasks and operations to complete job(s); follows operating procedures consistently
- Works in concert with the Quality department to ensure product integrity
- Keeps work area clean and tools orderly
