The Assembly Technician (Medical Device) supports the assembly and fulfillment of Commercial and Research collection kits and processes test collection supply requests from physician practices, study sites, and the Sales team. This role requires a strong working knowledge of all CND specimen collection materials to ensure orders are completed accurately, consistently, and in accordance with established component requirements.
The MHI performs material handling, kit assembly, documentation, and shipping activities in compliance with all applicable regulatory, quality, and safety standards (e.g., ISO, GMP). Responsibilities include accurately recording assembly activities, maintaining traceability, and following established work instructions and standard operating procedures.
In this role, the MHI utilizes CND's logistics and inventory management systems, along with other software applications, to process orders, manage materials, and support both internal and external customer needs. The position also involves assembling approved test collection supplies, ensuring all kits and materials meet validated protocols and departmental standards.
Success in this role depends on strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams, including R&D, Laboratory Operations, and Clinical Services. The MHI operates under the direction of Logistics Management and partners closely with team leads and key stakeholders to support operational readiness and efficient workflow execution.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in inventory management preferred; specific experience in production, logistics, ISO, GMP, or related environment preferred
• Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills by efficiently managing tasks, schedules, and resources to ensure smooth operation within the team or department.
• Working knowledge of inventory management best practices (FIFO, Kanban, etc.), and production methodologies (e.g.,Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and supporting team members
• High attention to detail
• Customer-focused mindset
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Education, Certifications, and Licensures
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associates or bachelor's degree preferred

• Combination of seated and standing work to complete the core functions of the role
• Sit and stand for long periods of time
• Visual acuity and analytical skills
• Must perform repetitive motions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Responsibilities
Test Collection Supply Activities
- Serve as an assembler for Commercial and Research collection kits.
- Manage and execute all collection kit shipments to physician practice and Sales team customers
- Assemble collection kits and associated sub-assemblies following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring adherence to established quality control measures and compliance with applicable GMP and ISO standards.
- Manage and coordinate the shipment of collection kit to physician practice and Sales team customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Adhere to all shipping regulations (US and international).
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with established Procurement, Quality, and Accounting policies.
- Communicate departmental needs and updates to various key stakeholders
- Participate meaningfully in cross-functional meetings and project groups.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
