Job Description
Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston located in the Texas Medical Center, the largest healthcare complex in the world is recruiting faculty for the academic rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor.
POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Other scholarly/institutional service responsibilities will be determined in coordination with the Department Chair.

CERTIFICATIONS:
Depending upon the specialty area (e.g. CRNA, NP-BC).

POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Teaches and actively maintains research productivity
- Develops a funded program of scientific research.
- Provides direct patient care activities through clinical practice opportunities with affiliated hospitals and other healthcare organizations.
- Instructs didactic coursework (online and classroom as appropriate) and mentors students.
Other scholarly/institutional service responsibilities will be determined in coordination with the Department Chair.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctoral degree in nursing or related field (Ph.D., DrPH).
- Eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in Texas.
PREFERRED:
- MSN or related discipline
- Funded post-doctoral fellowship or history of federal funding as a principal investigator (Faculty on the tenure-track).
