We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager, 503B to join our team focused on the 503b industry. This individual will be responsible for driving growth through strategic partnerships, new business opportunities, and market expansion. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the 503b industry, a proven track record in sales and business development, and the ability to cultivate long-term relationships with key stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities:

New Business Development
  • Search for potential clients, identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, licensing agreements, joint ventures, M&A, and investment opportunities
  • Increase Medisca's share of existing accounts
  • Gather market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and customer needs within the 503b industry

Key Account Management & Relationship Building
  • Attain monthly sales objectives and monitor profit margins
  • Analyze territory trends and identify opportunities
  • Regularly track and increase pharmacist business
  • Follow up with customers on sales and product availability - Inbound and outbound phone/email
  • Regularly update account records in our CRM tool including all interactions taking place with customers (activities, visits, notes, etc.)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and potential partners
  • Proactively following up with clients ensuring their needs are met and exceeding expectations

Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with, Demand & Planning, Procurement, R&D, marketing, regulatory, and legal teams to ensure alignment in business development activities and ensure compliance with industry regulations and client demands
  • Provide regular updates on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions
  • Work closely with Public Affairs to monitor industry regulations, legislative changes, and economic factors that may impact the 503b business landscape
  • Alliance management (when required)

Qualifications:
  • University degree. Sales or Science background an asset
  • 4 years + experience in a sales role
  • Experience as a pharmacy technician, knowledge of compounding or representative in pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven abilities in discovering opportunities, developing strategies and closing sales
  • Effective organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Memorable, dynamic & animated
  • Excellent communication and listening skills; fluent English (written & oral) required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel and Outlook) required.

Travel: Four (4) to six (6) weeks a year for client visits, minimum 2x/year, tradeshows and training, etc.
