Job Description

The Claims Support Coordinator (Verification) is responsible for ensuring all workers' compensation and no fault auto claim information is collected, confirmed and documented accurately and in a timely manner to meet or exceed the team production goals. This position demands strong communication skills, quality customer service, heavy telephone interaction, problem solving skills and strong attention to detail.

What You'll Do

  • Validation of claim data to ensure accuracy on all claims entered into the system prior to invoices being generated

  • Contacts insurance carriers to confirm and obtain information in a timely fashion

  • Investigates claims in order to obtain missing claim data

  • Documents all communication with insurance carriers, physicians, law firms and patients in the approved format

  • Always possesses a positive and professional attitude

  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of workers compensation and no-fault auto claims

  • Serves as a liaison between departments and outside parties to ensure that customers receive their medication in a timely manner

  • Consistent awareness and comprehension of policy/procedure changes

  • Communicates effectively and articulates ideas verbally and in writing

  • Accountable for actions and decisions demonstrated in daily tasks

  • Maintains or exceeds the expected productivity and quality

  • Notifies Supervisor of insurance changes and trends

  • Special projects as delegated by Supervisor/other duties as assigned

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience

  • 1-2 years in a supportive office role

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Independent problem solver

  • Detail oriented

  • Modern office procedures and methods including computer equipment and supporting applications
