ClinicalServices Supervisor-Briscoe Lake Charles Program

JobSummary

The Clinical Services Supervisor is responsible for performing awide variety of administrative and clinical tasks. The Clinical Services Supervisorwill assume a leadership role within the treatment team and assumes several keyresponsibilities in the area of client care, staff training, and thesupervision of all program components to include ancillary departments toinclude admissions. The Clinical Services Supervisor is also responsible for maintainingthe client census in a fiscally responsible manner.

DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITES

It is the duty and responsibility of the Clinical ServicesSupervisor to:
• meet all Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) andcontractual requirements for client care and client record standards;
• ensure audits of charts are conducted quarterlyaccording to Council on Accreditation (COA) requirements and agency policy andensure these audit reports are maintained for review;
• ensure psycho-social screens are complete,signed by an LMHP, and in the client record;
• ensure that clients receive quality of care,document evidence of quality of care, and implement and document correctiveactions in the event that quality of care needs improvement;
• work with all insurance providers to ensureproper authorizations and maintain proper documentation for billing;
• prepare all billing on a daily, weekly, ormonthly basis as assigned by the Program Manager;
• ensure that the facility is clean, safe, and ingood working order and report any safety concerns immediately to the Program Manager;
• oversee the operations of the program in the eventthe Program Manager is unavailable;
• directly supervise the counselors, ensure thepositions are filled and that weekend responsibilities are being performed; and
• perform other duties as assigned.

Policyand Procedure Requirements:
• Must read and implement all contractrequirements as well as the requirements of all other regulating authoritiesincluding LDH and COA.
• Must review and retain knowledge of agencypolicies and procedures and ensure policies and procedures are practiced and enforced.Responsible for maintaining and updating program operations manual related toclinical issues.
• Responsible for reviewing and implementing COAstandards.

ChartDocumentation Requirements:
• Maintain accurate charts that have at a minimum:Initial treatment plan, assessments that are appropriate and complete, propersignatures on documents, discharge summaries and plans, quality of chartinformation must be what is expected of a master's level clinician (problemstatements, goals, measurable objectives, intervention-description of whatcounselor will do for client, target dates, completion dates, etc.). Thesedocuments will contain all of the required components as outlined in the LDHMinimum Standards for Substance abuse Facilities.

StaffTraining and Supervision Requirements:
• Responsible for developing and implementingstaff training.
• Responsible for ensuring that all new employeesreceive new employee orientation training, as well as ongoing training at least3 hours of training per quarter.
• Ensure that clinical staff is trained on how tokeep charts in compliance with requirements, conduct group and individualcounseling sessions as well as education services for the client population.

SupervisorRequirements:
• Must maintain the agency cell phone on theirperson at all times. Ensure phone is set up properly and in working order andregularly check and return calls.
• Ensure authorizations are accurate and done in atimely manner.
• Work with other agency departments such asfinance, billing, and human resources in a cooperative manner and be responsiveto the needs of these departments as appropriate.
• Assume a leadership role on the treatment teamand in weekly staff meetings. Participate in clinical discussions. Assistsubordinate staff concerning treatment approaches.
• Be available for audits and responsible forcorrective actions for audits as well as maintaining on file all audits,corrective actions, and correspondence concerning audits.
• Maintain a case load of clients.
• Maintain the client census. Monitor and ensuretimely movement of clients through the treatment program.
• Assist with ensuring incidents are reportedproperly and to the proper authorities.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum qualifications include the following:
• Master's level licensed counselor
• Knowledge of substance abuse services includingASAM criteria
• At least one year of supervisory experience in aclinical setting
• Ability to function independently with a minimumof direct supervision
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Ability to complete reporting requirements in atimely manner
• Must be a LPC, LMSW, and/or LCSW with clinical experience

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications include the following:
• 2 plus years of supervisory experience in aclinical setting
