Overview The Director of Marketing serves as a strategic and service-oriented leader responsible for shaping and executing the company's marketing strategy in alignment with organizational goals. This role partners closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Vice Presidents, and cross-functional leaders to understand business needs and translate them into effective marketing initiatives. The Director of Marketing must balance strong leadership with a collaborative, flexible approach-guiding the marketing function while remaining responsive to evolving priorities across the business.

Pay Philosophy:
CSL Consulting is a pay-for-performance organization, where individual contributions, impact, and results directly influence compensation, recognition, and growth opportunities. The salary range for this position is $125,500 - $145,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated impact. CSL Consulting is committed to pay equity and transparency in accordance with Massachusetts law. Compensation is determined within the posted range based on the scope of the role, the candidate's background, and the value they bring to the organization. We reserve the right to adjust our salary bands in response to evolving business needs, market conditions, and organizational priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Service-Driven Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that supports company growth and aligns with the needs of the Executive Leadership Team and business units.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and internal partner, ensuring marketing initiatives directly support operational, sales, and organizational priorities.
- Lead with influence rather than rigidity-bringing expertise while remaining open to feedback, business realities, and shifting needs.
- Facilitate communication between marketing and other departments to ensure alignment and transparency.
Support for Executive Leadership & VPs
- Work closely with the C level and VP-level leaders to understand goals, challenges, and opportunities across the organization.
- Provide timely, high-quality marketing support for strategic initiatives, presentations, proposals, and internal communications.
- Translate leadership vision into actionable marketing plans and campaigns.
- Deliver clear reporting and insights to help leadership make informed decisions.
Brand, Communications & Content
- Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity to ensure consistency across all channels.
- Develop content and communication strategies that support business development, client engagement, and internal alignment.
- Manage PR, media relations, and reputation-building efforts.
Digital Marketing & Demand Generation
- Lead digital strategy including website optimization, SEO/SEM, email marketing, paid media, and social media.
- Drive lead generation and support sales enablement through targeted campaigns and digital initiatives.
- Evaluate and implement marketing technologies and analytics tools to improve performance.
Campaign & Project Management
- Manage the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that support business goals.
- Ensure marketing deliverables meet the needs of internal stakeholders and external audiences.
- Balance long-term strategic initiatives with short-term requests from leadership and business units.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team.
- Foster a culture of service, collaboration, and adaptability.
- Encourage innovation while ensuring marketing remains grounded in business needs and operational realities.
Budget & Vendor Oversight
- Manage the marketing budget and ensure resources are allocated effectively.
- Oversee relationships with agencies, freelancers, and external partners.
- Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership roles.
- Proven ability to partner with executive leadership and support cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, analytics, and integrated campaign development.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
