LG Chem Ohio Petrochemical, Inc. ABS Compounding Facility is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Generalist to support the implementation of workplace safety, environmental compliance, employee training, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position is based at our Ravenna, Ohio facility.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career EHS professional looking to develop hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while working alongside experienced operations and EHS professionals. The EHS Generalist will play an important role in supporting programs that help maintain a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace.

What You'll Do

As an EHS Generalist, you will:

• Assist with environmental, health, and safety programs across the manufacturing facility.
• Conduct workplace inspections and safety observations.
• Support OSHA and environmental compliance activities.
• Coordinate employee, contractor, and visitor safety training.
• Maintain training records and Learning Management System (LMS) activities.
• Participate in incident, injury, and near-miss investigations.
• Track corrective and preventive actions.
• Support waste management, recycling, and environmental reporting activities.
• Assist with emergency preparedness programs and emergency response drills.
• Maintain EHS records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, warehouse, and office personnel to promote a strong safety culture.

Preferred Qualifications

Required

• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in:
  • Environmental Health & Safety
  • Environmental Science
  • Industrial Hygiene
  • Occupational Safety
  • Related field
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred

• 0 to 3 years of EHS experience.
• Internship, co-op, or professional experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or industrial environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, or environmental regulations.
• Experience with training systems or compliance management tools.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Chemical manufacturing or processing experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to periodically lift up to 55 pounds.
• Ability to walk throughout the manufacturing facility, climb stairs, and perform workplace inspections.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
