Essential Functions
- Painting interior and exterior
- Assist other contractors and technicians when on-site
- Maintain cleanliness of work area
- Respond and prioritize calls to assess and repair item(s)
- Custodial work may be assigned to include but not limited to:
- Sweep and mop floors
- Empty waste receptacles and replace liners
- Maintain outside walking areas including sweeping debris
- Vacuuming offices, hallways and floor mat in walkways
- Clean and polish fixtures
- Gather bags of cans for recycling pickup
- Clean windows and mirrors
- Dust office and front lobby furniture
- Disinfect all surfaces in break room
- Clean, disinfect and polish all drinking fountains
- Polish all chrome work and door handles
- Observe and apply organizational policies, laws, rules and regulations
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Participate in and complete all company-required training
- Maintain the proper use, cleaning and storage of all tools
- Address other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years working in facilities maintenance or similar field is an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication and documentation is needed
- Attention to detail and strong customer service skills is crucial
- Must be flexible working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Physical / Mental Demands
- Frequent standing, occasional walking and/or climb stairs
- Frequent lifting, occasional carrying of items up to 60 lbs.
- Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching
- Occasional pushing and pulling
- Normal vision and hearing
- Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
- Prolonged performing of repetitive work
- Strong organizational and analytical skills a must.
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors as needed
- Ability to prioritize work and multiple projects to meet deadlines and deliver excellent results.
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with team members and contract manufacturers (domestic and international).
