Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Data Analyst is a highly analytical and technically skilled role which supports financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and business decision-making. This position will work closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT as well as other business leaders to transform complex data into accurate, actionable insights via Power BI dashboards.

The ideal candidate combines strong data analytics and technical capabilities with a solid understanding of finance, financial reporting and business KPI's. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with large datasets, developing automated reporting, and building models.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The tasks of the Financial Data Analyst include, but are not limited to:
  • Extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple systems and databases.
  • Develop, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data visualizations using Excel, Python, SQL or other analytical tools
  • Reconcile data across financial and operational systems and identify data integrity issues.
  • Work with Finance, Operations and company leadership to define data requirements to develop reporting dashboard .
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual financial reporting and analytical processes.
  • Develop data-quality checks and controls to improve accuracy and consistency.
  • Partner with IT/data teams to improve data structures, reporting processes, and system integrations.

Salary range between $95,000 - $105,000. Final compensation is based on skills, experience, location, and overall expertise.

Requirements

  • The position requires at least a bachelor's degree and minimum 2 years relevant work experience.
  • Experience working in a services organization
  • A background in finance (FP&A)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, advanced formulas, and financial modeling.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms is highly preferred
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources
  • Experience automating recurring reports and analytical processes
  • Familiarity with APIs, data integrations from ERP systems, CRM systems and other enterprise data systems is a plus.
  • High attention to detail, timelines, organization and problem-solving abilities
  • Is a self-starter & excels in a team environment
