Position Overview
N-Power Medicine is hiring a HR Coordinator who will play a vital role in supporting the Human Resource team by facilitating various aspects of the onboarding/offboarding process and providing administrative assistance in HR operations. This role involves collaborating with team members, new hires, and hiring managers to ensure a seamless and efficient experience for all.
This is a hybrid on-site role, Bay Area (Redwood City) based candidates only.
Role Objectives and Responsibilities
HR Onboarding & Offboarding:
Collaborate with new hires and parting employees to collect required documentation and information.
Onboard new hires through multiple platforms.
Assist in coordinating Day 1 activities in partnership with IT.
Completion of pre-hire process including drafting offer letters, conducting background checks, coordination with IT for laptop, etc.
Data Management/Administrative Support:
Manage employee status changes.
Background check and employment verification administration.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data (multiple platforms).
Handle various administrative tasks, such as filing, record-keeping, and maintaining HR documents.
Build and maintain documentation of processes and procedures
Payroll Coordination:
Meet and coordinate with our payroll partner.
Ensure timely submissions of time cards.
Send out reminders to employees.
Escalate issues as needed.
Complete payroll census reflecting all changes, ensure submission of time cards per pay period.
Event Coordination:
Assist with resourcing, booking venues/catering, and transportation for company meetings and/or corporate events.
Handle various administrative tasks, such as dispersing swag orders in support of onboarding efforts.
Other duties may be assigned.
Education, Experience, Behavioral Competencies, & Skills
-2+ years of HR Coordination or related experience.
-Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
-Experience in biotechnology, pharma, or life science preferred.
-Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Proficiency in using HRIS preferred.
-Attention to detail, problem solving, and accuracy in data management and scheduling.
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
-Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
-Google Workspace experience is a plus.
-Familiarity with employment laws and regulations is a plus.

Ability to travel may be required from time to time
Pay Information
The expected hourly range for this position is $33.90 and $48.77.. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. N-Power Medicine (NPM) offers equity at hire as well as a discretionary annual bonus which may be available based on Company performance. This position is eligible for company benefits at 30+ hours/week.
