HR Generalist
Pay Range: 55k-62k
Typical Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday

As an HR Generalist, you will support daily human resources operations and initiatives for assigned departments and employees. This role serves as a trusted resource for employees and leadership by coordinating onboarding activities, maintaining compliance with employment regulations and accreditation standards, and fostering a positive and employee-focused workplace culture.
Working closely with leadership, payroll, benefits, HRIS, and training teams, the HR Generalist provides guidance and support throughout the employee lifecycle while helping ensure efficient HR operations and a seamless employee experience.

Follows organizational cybersecurity policies, including acceptable use, password management, and multi-factor authentication requirements. Immediately reports suspected security incidents, unauthorized access, or data breaches in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements. Maintains strict confidentiality of PHI and adheres to the principle of least privilege, accessing only the minimum necessary data required to perform job functions.

What You'll Do
As an HR Generalist at RCA, you will:
- In collaboration with Training, coordinate and manage the full-cycle onboarding process for new hires, including offer letters, background checks, timekeeping/time clock setup, first-day logistics, and new hire orientation; serve as the primary point of contact for employees throughout onboarding and their first week of employment
- Assist in training and educating staff on health and welfare plans such as 401k, health benefits, including registration through Electronic Benefits Administration when applicable.
- Conduct I-9 employment verifications and assist employees with onboarding documentation, system access, and account setup to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
- Maintain and organize employee personnel files in compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Monitor and track employee licensure and credentials to ensure all required documentation remains current and compliant.
- Perform regular employee file audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies.
- Participate and contribute to various committees to include but not limited to Employee Engagement, Safety Committee, Workplace Violence Prevention.
- Provide day-to-day HR support by responding to employee questions and assisting with workplace issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, and senior leadership teams to resolve employee-related matters and support HR operations and organizational initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- 2+ years' experience working in the HR field, hospital or medical experience preferred
- SHRM certified professional or other HR field certification preferred
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS and payroll databases
