Job Description
What You'll Do
• Support manufacturing by troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues that impact production.
• Maintain production broadcast systems, error-proofing systems, customer communication interfaces, scanners, printers, and associated hardware.
• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
• Monitor and maintain network connectivity, switches, routers, wireless devices, and server infrastructure.
• Maintain backup hardware, software, and disaster recovery documentation for production systems.
• Support preventative maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Partner with vendors and corporate IT on system implementations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain system documentation, asset inventories, and technical procedures.
• Support continuous improvement, automation, and technology enhancement initiatives.
• Monitor IT security, user access, and system integrity while maintaining confidential information.
• Document support activities and ensure timely resolution of service requests.
• Follow all company safety policies and support emergency response procedures.
Who You Are
• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-2 years of IT support experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience supporting Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, TCP/IP networking, printers, scanners, switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure.
• Familiarity with SQL, ERP/MES systems, production broadcast systems, or manufacturing technologies is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to support employees at all levels.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information and exercise sound judgment.
• Experience supporting Just-in-Time (JIT) manufacturing operations is preferred.
Health, Safety, Physical & Travel Requirements
• Ability to work throughout a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to safely work around production equipment while wearing required PPE.
• Ability to respond quickly to production-related technical issues.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or off-shift hours when required to support business operations.
• Occasional travel (up to 10%) may be required for training, project support, or assistance at other Emotiv locations.
