This position is responsible for supporting the full manufacturing cycle of veterinary products, from cell culture preparation to antigen harvest. Responsibilities
- Aseptic Processing: Assist with critical aseptic procedures, including antigen inoculation, cell culture preparation, and biological harvesting.
- Non-Aseptic Operations: Support the handling of live animal viruses during the processing and harvesting of tissues and waste materials.
- Equipment Management: Operate and maintain a variety of manufacturing equipment; assist with complex equipment setup and general maintenance.
- Compliance & Safety: Identify and address process deviations or safety concerns immediately, ensuring all actions comply with company policies.
- Documentation: Maintain precise, concurrent record-keeping across charts, logbooks, and all pertinent GMP documentation.
- Facility Maintenance: Execute facility decontamination according to approved procedures and maintain general housekeeping in all work areas.
- Waste Management: Responsible for the proper accumulation, labeling, and management of hazardous wastes following specialized training.
- Reporting & Collaboration: Assist in the preparation of weekly reports and attend workshops or training classes to improve technical job skills.
- System Operations: Perform both manual and automated support functions to ensure the smooth flow of the manufacturing cycle.
Education
- Minimum Requirement: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience
- Required: Minimum of 1 year of professional experience; strong attention to detail and reliable documentation skills.
- Technical Skills: General proficiency in mathematics, reading, and computer skills; ability to operate technical machinery with provided training.
- Preferred: Previous experience working within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
- Core Competencies: Ability to work cooperatively in a team-based manufacturing environment and follow strict safety protocols.
Additional Information
- Physical Requirements: Successful completion of a Physical Abilities Test (POET) is a mandatory requirement for this position.
- Schedule: Must have the flexibility to work varying hours, rotating shifts, and weekends as required by manufacturing needs and overtime demands.
