PATIENT AND VISITOR LIAISON - SURGICAL SERVICES
GENERAL SUMMARY
REQUIREMENTS
- Department: Administrative Support
- Schedule: Part time; Day Shift; Variable start time of 6:00am - 2:30pm or 8:00am - 4:40pm; no weekends; holidays as required.
- Hospital: Henry Ford Genesys Hospital
- Location: Grand Blanc, MI
GENERAL SUMMARY
- Acts as a liaison between guests, staff and patients to respond to patient and guest information inquiries.
- Receives, screens, routes and/or responds to all incoming inquiries for information, directions or concerns.
- Receives guest suggestions and complaints and escalates through proper channels.
- Provides patient information in compliance with The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements and organizational privacy policies.
- Identifies and report issues of safety and maintenance.
- Assists in improving patient satisfaction while keeping volunteer office management informed of potential problems. Anticipates family's needs and resolves issues before they become major source of concern.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma equivalency
- 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
