The expected salary range for this role is $58,000- $93,000 annual, but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
This role is also eligible to earn a bonus and benefits as defined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Essential Job Functions:
- Provide engineering support to ensure product health, safety, and environmental compliance across the full lifecycle.
- Plan, document, and analyze maintenance activities using CMMS (work orders, labor hours, performance tracking).
- Collaborate with operations, contractors, and I&E teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and improve reliability.
- Support the design, fabrication, modification, and repair of mechanical components and facility systems (pumps, piping, power transmission, hoists).
- Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs in compliance with SOPs, ISO, cGMP, PSM, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement and hazard mitigation initiatives.
- Ensure safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials during maintenance activities.
- Oversee safe startup/shutdown procedures and support Management of Change (MOC) processes for equipment upgrades and layout changes.
- Provide operational oversight for material handling and access equipment as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (relevant technical experience considered).
- Professional certifications such as EIT, PE, or OSHA training are a plus.
- Proven experience in design, analysis, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems (piping, pumps, motors, conveyors, rotating equipment, facility infrastructure).
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Experience with CMMS or maintenance management software.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing and maintenance practices, including equipment and tool selection.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and support maintenance, shutdowns, and emergency response.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules to meet project and operational needs.
