We're looking for a highly motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Rochester, NY.

In this critical role, you won't just fix machines - you'll help drive reliability, safety, and operational excellence across our facility. Your expertise will directly support our commitment to achieving:

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide engineering support to ensure product health, safety, and environmental compliance across the full lifecycle.
• Plan, document, and analyze maintenance activities using CMMS (work orders, labor hours, performance tracking).
• Collaborate with operations, contractors, and I&E teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and improve reliability.
• Support the design, fabrication, modification, and repair of mechanical components and facility systems (pumps, piping, power transmission, hoists).
• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs in compliance with SOPs, ISO, cGMP, PSM, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement and hazard mitigation initiatives.
• Ensure safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials during maintenance activities.
• Oversee safe startup/shutdown procedures and support Management of Change (MOC) processes for equipment upgrades and layout changes.
• Provide operational oversight for material handling and access equipment as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (relevant technical experience considered).
• Professional certifications such as EIT, PE, or OSHA training are a plus.
• Proven experience in design, analysis, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems (piping, pumps, motors, conveyors, rotating equipment, facility infrastructure).
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Experience with CMMS or maintenance management software.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing and maintenance practices, including equipment and tool selection.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and support maintenance, shutdowns, and emergency response.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules to meet project and operational needs.

The expected salary range for this role is $58,000- $93,000 annual, but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.

This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.

This role is also eligible to earn a bonus and benefits as defined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
