The Material Handler II plays a key role in warehouse operations by ensuring accurate movement, storage, and distribution of materials, products, and equipment in support of production and customer requirements. This mid-level role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to resolve inventory discrepancies, and proficiency with warehouse management systems. The Material Handler II also supports training of junior staff and contributes to process improvements within the warehouse.

The hours are Monday - Friday, 10am - 6:30pm.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and stage materials from delivery vehicles; verify quantities and condition against shipping documents
  • Interpret production schedules, work orders, customer orders, and requisitions to determine material requirements
  • Transport materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas with accuracy and efficiency
  • Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage locations, ensuring proper labeling, rotation, and accessibility
  • Perform material pulls, fills, and transfers to support production lines, assembly areas, and outbound shipments
  • Assemble and stage customer orders for shipment; prepare packaging, labeling, and shipping documentation
  • Conduct cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and root cause investigation for material variances
  • Enter and maintain accurate inventory transactions in ERP systems (SAP or similar)
  • Maintain documentation of received, stored, and distributed materials in compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment; perform basic equipment inspections
  • Support onboarding and training of Material Handler I employees
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and adherence to 5S and safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience; manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proficiency with ERP or warehouse management systems (SAP experience strongly preferred)
  • Current forklift certification or ability to obtain
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport up to 50 lbs. safely
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and train others

The estimated hourly range for this role, based in the United States of America is $20-24/hour. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
