Job Description

This role will function as a field-based Medical Science Liaison, providing in-depth drug and disease state information to health providers in their territories.

 

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement:  Partners with the medical/scientific community to drive product development and life cycle management
  • Clinical Trial program support:  Liaises with investigators and professional organizations regarding Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS), educational grants, and publication support
  • Scientific support of Commercial Operations: Provides education, scientific conference coverage; facilitates and moderates advisory boards and speaker bureaus

Specific Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides medical, scientific and technical expertise to ensure product awareness and understanding
  • Identifies, cultivates, and maintains relationships with KOLs in addition to Mayne Pharma study investigators
  • Presents clinical information to healthcare professionals and organizations at conferences and individual meetings
  • Supports roll-out of clinical studies as requested by the Clinical Trials Director
  • Facilitates and establishes research opportunities between Mayne Pharma and research investigators
  • Supports and facilitates medical communications and publications (e.g. abstracts, case studies/series, review articles)
  • Keeps current with published literature in their therapeutic area of specialization
  • Attends scientific/medical/professional meetings as required to cover Medical Affairs booths, and gathers competitive intelligence
  • Responds to unsolicited requests as approved and outlined by appropriate review committees
  • Assists Mayne Pharma commercial team with their educational efforts, including participation as required at National and Regional commercial team meetings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Life Science Discipline (PA, NP, MSN, PharmD, PhD, MD) and current professional license, if applicable
  • Bachelor’s degree with equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of Master’s degree
  • Prior experience as a field based Medical Science Liaison required (>2 years)
  • Prior women’s health (clinical or industry) required (>2 years)

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Overnight travel (up to 75%) is required
  • Frequent talking, hearing, visual acuity (detail/accuracy), and repetitive motion
