- Position Summary
- Under the direction of the licensed staff member, the Nursing Student gives routine, non - licensed, technical bedside care as a member of the Nursing Team. Staff may receive, secure and transport medications as necessary.
- Education
- Successful Completion of Nursing Fundamentals - Required
- Experience
- 1 Year Clinical - Preferred
- License & Certification
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required
- Core Job Functions
- Assists in procedures/ exams as directed. Obtains necessary supplies, equipment, and/ or personnel as needed. Communicates data by timely documentation and reporting of abnormal or patient status change to RN/LPN.
- Patients are identified per guidelines and patient care interventions are provided under the direction of the RN/LPN. Accurately obtains and documents patient assessments according to hospital/ department guidelines.
- Complies with regulatory guidelines for work area and professional practice. Communicates patient safety risks to appropriate providers. Performs interventions under the direction of the RN/LPN.
