Operations Specialist, Patient Insights, Experience, and Registries (PIERS)

Job Description
As an Operations Specialist, you will support the overall business management and operations of the PIERS team at IQVIA. You will work with colleagues all over the world, supporting the vital processes that keep the business moving and acting as the main point of contact in regard to some of those processes. Many of the areas you will support have interdependencies, and so it is important that Specialists become familiar with most or all of them.
As an Operations Specialist supporting the PIERS team at IQVIA, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
New Hire Onboarding:
- Completion of tasks prior to new hire start date as per the Onboarding Specialist checklist such as equipment ordering, system and application access requests, addition to relevant email distribution lists and internal websites.
- Preparation of new hire announcements for dissemination in the monthly newsletter.
- Preparation and provision of guidance to the Line Manager regarding onboarding responsibilities.
- Coordination with other Onboarding Support team members as appropriate.
- Support during onboarding period to New Hire and Line Manager.
- Ownership of hiring, contracting, onboarding/offboarding, extension or conversion processes for external contractors.
- Vendor qualification, contracting, and maintenance as well as Purchase Order and payment coordination.
- Field ad hoc requests from team members and provide direct support or assistance in finding solutions.
- Preparation of relevant reports and presentations as needed.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, including grammatical/technical writing skills.
- Excellent attention and accuracy with details.
- Ability to confidently communicate with and effectively present information to internal team.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects.

- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients.
- Experience with any of the following applications: Smartsheet, COUPA/Oracle, SAP, SharePoint.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as an administrative assistant, in talent acquisition or human resources, or project management.
