Position Summary
The Pathology Operations Coordinator (POC) is an entry-level role responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the commercial laboratory at CND Life Sciences. Working closely with the Pathology Operations team, this position performs a blend of technical and administrative duties to help maintain an efficient and organized laboratory workflow.
What you'll be doing...
Job Responsibilities
• Review laboratory case documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Perform quality control checks on documentation and slides using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Unload and organize digitized slides from Olympus VS200 scanners within the case distribution tower.
• Assist in pre-filling documentation for medical staff to support case processing.
• Scan and upload documents into LIMS, ensuring proper case association and data integrity.
• File and organize slides and paperwork following pathology team review.
• Coordinate and complete shipments to Iron Mountain for off-site archival storage, as needed.
• Promptly escalate issues or concerns to appropriate team members.
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and report any deviations immediately.
• Support general clerical duties and contribute to daily laboratory readiness for case processing.
• Adapt to changes in workflow and assist with process improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support laboratory operations.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Experience with inventory management, data entry, and recordkeeping preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with web-based business applications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing records and documentation.
• Ability to follow instructions and seek clarification when necessary.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving shared goals.
Education, Certifications, and Licensures
Other
• Ability to use copiers and PDF scanner
• Visual acuity and analytical skill to distinguish sufficient detail.
• Must possess the ability to sit or stand for long periods.
• Must possess the ability to perform repetitive motion.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• This role will be expected to work onsite at the company's Scottsdale, AZ headquarters 5 days/week.
• Shift: Wednesday - Sunday 8am - 5pm MST

- 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory or healthcare environment preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Experience with inventory management, data entry, and recordkeeping preferred.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing records and documentation.
