Role Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Collaborating Physician - Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to join our team in Hempstead, New York, USA. As a valued member of our collaborative environment, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality behavioral health services to residents of long-term care and rehabilitation centers. Your expertise will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our older adult patients.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and achieve treatment goals
  • Prescribe and manage medications as needed
  • Participate in care conferences and provide updates on patient progress
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient encounters and treatment plans
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in psychiatry

Requirements
  • MD/DO degree in Psychiatry or related field
  • Current licensure to practice in the state of New York
  • Experience in a collaborative care environment preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
