Job Description

Product Inspection & Verification
  • Perform inspections including First Piece, KPC, DTS, torque verification, Harmony Reviews, and other quality checks in accordance with Control Plans and the Business Operating System (BOS).
  • Verify product quality using approved measuring equipment and inspection methods.
  • Perform capability studies, Gage R&R, and other quality evaluations as required.
  • Ensure proper identification of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
Quality Control & Documentation
  • Identify, document, and communicate quality concerns while initiating containment activities for nonconforming material.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and ensure inspection documents and controlled work instructions remain current.
  • Support Engineering Changes and maintain evidence required for customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Assist with sorting, rework, and inspection activities as needed.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
  • Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, APQP, PPAP, trial builds, and engineering changes.
  • Issue supplier discrepancy notifications (DMNs), monitor Quality Alerts, and escalate quality concerns per established procedures.
  • Communicate breakpoints and quality issues to appropriate stakeholders.
Collaboration & Safety
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all company safety policies.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and perform other duties as assigned.
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year of automotive manufacturing or quality experience.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, and fixtures).
  • Basic knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and statistical concepts.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Preferred
  • Associate degree in a technical or quality-related field.
  • ASQ Quality Technician certification.
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, IATF 16949, capability studies, and Gage R&R.
