GENERAL SUMMARY

The Radiation Services Operations Administrator is responsible for the overall operational, financial, and administrative leadership of Radiation Services. This role ensures the effective delivery of high quality, patient centered care through strong staff leadership, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and fiscal stewardship. The Administrator oversees daily operations, workforce management, budgeting, performance improvement, and technology implementation while promoting service excellence and continuous improvement. This position partners closely with clinical leaders and organizational stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives, optimize workflows, support staff development, and ensure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and reporting requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES

  • Oversees day to day operations of Radiation Services to ensure high quality care, operational efficiency, cost effectiveness, and patient/customer satisfaction.
  • Provides leadership, supervision, and development of staff, including performance evaluations, coaching, and ongoing feedback to support individual and departmental success.
  • Directs all people management responsibilities, including recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, training, retention, disciplinary action, and termination processes.
  • Ensures staff competency through completion of required training, assessments, and adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducts regular meetings with lead staff to align priorities, monitor performance, and communicate operational updates and expectations.
  • Leads implementation of new technologies and workflows, including updates to policies, procedures, training, and performance standards.
  • Develops and monitors performance improvement plans as needed to address operational, quality, or employee performance gaps.
  • Sets departmental priorities, standards, and practices to ensure efficient operations, achievement of goals, and timely completion of projects and initiatives.
  • Promotes and drives service excellence by role modeling accountability, fostering engagement, and actively impacting patient and customer satisfaction outcomes.
  • Represents Radiation Services on committees and workgroups, serving as a departmental liaison and advocate across the organization.
  • Develops, manages, and oversees operational and capital budgets, ensuring financial stewardship, cost control, and effective resource utilization.
  • Identifies, plans, and justifies capital needs related to equipment, technology, and future departmental initiatives.
  • Leads and implements process improvement initiatives and innovative solutions to enhance workflows, operational effectiveness, and system outcomes.
  • Ensures timely and accurate MIOS reporting in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs other position related duties as assigned.
  • Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

? Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or relevant field required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

? 6 years of experience in radiation therapy services required.

? 2 years experience in a leadership role required.
