POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Registration Representative to join our healthcare team. The Registration Representative will perform financial clearance, registration, and clerical duties associated with direct and scheduled patient referrals. As a Registration Representative, you will interact with patients and their families, clinical teams, scheduling, and referral sources, and ensure information is readily available to clinical staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Coordinates with intake to ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Performs financial clearance, registration, and clerical duties associated with set-ups.
  • Meets (in person or virtually) with patient or patient's caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation. Provides an explanation of the process and addresses concerns and questions
  • Communicates with intake, clinical staff, and other appropriate personnel to exchange necessary information.
  • Verifies insurance benefits and obtains precertification/authorization and ensures verification of medical necessity as necessary. Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance, or refers to financial counselors for follow-up.
  • Ensures that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.
  • Track follow-up dates and maintain accountability to ensure all requirements are completed prior to appointments.
  • Able to problem-solve and escalate items as necessary.
  • Schedule patients for upcoming set-ups and mask refits as needed.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide excellent customer service while taking inbound calls and assisting with requests.
  • Following all policies and procedures as outlined by the company, governmental.
    regulations, and HIPAA standards.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, Strong customer service orientation.
  • Relevant customer service experience
  • 1 year of patient registration, scheduling, or other clerical/customer service experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Able to coordinate multiple tasks for multiple customers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • MS Office skills
