As this is a part-time position, the salary will be pro-rated based on the actual part-time hours worked (estimation of 18 hours per week).    

Job Description

    Duties and Responsibilities

• Performing human cell culture maintenance and supporting in-house testing, lab operations, and quality initiatives
• Communicating with and updating team members and stakeholders during the week to organize, prioritize, and schedule duties for independent weekend completion
• Executing general lab procedures and tasks, including but not limited to, calculations, assays, documentation, and troubleshooting without direct supervision
• Mandatory weekend work (Saturday and Sunday) will be required

  Knowledge and Qualifications

• BSc (in progress or completed) in Life Sciences or related field (relevant co-op training, directed studies, or equivalent is an asset)
• Experience with mammalian cell culture techniques required. Training in cellular and molecular biology techniques including qPCR, immunocytochemistry, or microscopy would be an asset
• Experience performing independent laboratory research, and coordinating with and supporting multiple collaborators
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both one-on-one and group settings

For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
