Your role
  • Work involves daily exposure to elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and/or noise.
  • Sanitation environment entails daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards, working in confined spaces, working in elevated spaces.
  • Moving to different parts of the plant to clean without constant direct supervision.
  • Use of cleaning chemicals adhering to manufacture's safe operation guidelines SDS.
  • Perform cleaning processes in compliance with all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
  • Complete sanitation documentation following each wash/cleaning sequence.
  • Work directly with sanitation manager and quality control technician to correct cleaning deficiencies that may exist after inspection.
  • Clean all types of surfaces, from many different positions and angles. For example, underneath, in-between, above or inside.
  • Follow all safety and food safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate Power Lifts: Cranes, Forklifts, Pallet Jacks and Scissor Lifts.

About you
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Sanitation experience in a food plant preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, professionalism and problem-solving.
  • Achieve assigned tasks with pride and sense of accomplishment and positivism.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Be able to follow safety rules, standard operation procedures, polices regulations.
  • Position requires standing, sitting, walking, climbing, and handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds.
