Job Description

Quotient Sciences: Molecule to Cure. Fast.
Quotient Sciences is a leading drug development and manufacturing accelerator, helping biotech and pharma companies bring new medicines to patients faster. With over 35 years of experience and a track record of success, we provide Drug Product (CDMO) and Clinical (CRO) services across the entire development pathway, including formulation development, clinical pharmacology, clinical trials, and commercial product manufacturing.

Our proprietary and disruptive platform - "Translational Pharmaceutics®" - integrates Drug Product Manufacturing and Clinical Testing to eliminate silos in the drug development process. This in turn reduces costs, improves outcomes, and significantly accelerates drug development times.

Why join us:
Because every day counts when bringing new medicines to patients. Our 1,000+ experts across the US, UK, and beyond are united by science, agility, and a culture that turns ideas into impact-fast.

The Role

At Quotient Sciences, we are transforming drug development by integrating formulation, clinical and manufacturing services under one partnership model.

We are seeking an experienced, commercially astute senior business development professional to lead growth across our Early and Late Stage and Commercial drug product services on the US East Coast.

This is a high-impact role for a proven deal maker who thrives on building trusted client relationships, translating complex scientific challenges into commercially successful programmes, and shaping long-term growth strategies within a leading CDMO.

This role is home-based, servicing a defined US East Coast territory, with a high level of client-facing travel.

Key responsibilities:
  • Own and deliver a profitable commercial growth strategy across Early, Late Stage and Commercial Drug Product services within an assigned US East Coast territory
  • Achieve individual sales targets while supporting broader commercial team objectives
  • Develop and execute a cohesive territory strategy informed by market trends, client pipelines and competitive intelligence
  • Manage the full business development lifecycle from lead generation through to contract execution
  • Build, expand and retain strategic relationships with biotech and pharmaceutical clients
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships into additional services and programmes
  • Work closely with site leadership to align client needs with operational capability, capacity planning and future growth initiatives
  • Lead commercial discussions with clients on programme scope, pricing, timelines and CapEx planning, with executive oversight as required
  • Collaborate with legal, technical, marketing and project management teams to deliver tailored, compliant commercial solutions
  • Represent Quotient Sciences at client meetings, conferences and industry events across the US East Coast

Skills and experience required:

Essential:
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant life science discipline
  • Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in commercial roles within the CDMO sector
  • Demonstrable success selling formulation development and clinical manufacturing services to biotech and pharmaceutical clients
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end drug development lifecycle
  • Proven ability to translate customer needs into commercially sound, technically credible proposals
  • Experience managing complex negotiations and closing high-value deals
  • Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives
  • Self-motivated, resilient and comfortable working autonomously in a remote role
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the US East Coast region

Desirable:
  • Established network across US East Coast biotech and pharmaceutical organisations
  • Experience supporting commercial expansion into late-stage or commercial manufacturing programmes
  • Familiarity with CapEx-driven client partnerships and long-term framework agreements

Learning opportunities:
  • Exposure to an integrated drug development and manufacturing business with global reach
  • Direct engagement with senior scientific, operational and executive leaders
  • Opportunity to shape long-term client partnerships and influence future service development
  • Ongoing professional development through structured commercial and leadership programmes
