Job Summary/Objective:

The Senior Director of Operations & Analytics is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of commercial infrastructure, processes and systems to support the commercial effectiveness of the Neurelis Sales & Marketing organization. Responsibilities include commercial analytics and insights, data strategy, sales force deployment and optimization, targeting, forecasting, market research, sales analysis and data reporting, field team incentive compensation, sales force automation, aggregate spend reporting, marketing operations and vendor and budget management.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Work closely with commercial leadership to build and maintain product forecasts for the organization.
  • Develops KPls to track and measure organizational success.
  • Identify, lead and manage the information and analysis needs of the commercial organization.
  • Lead and manage a team to conduct the following:
  • Manage sales force alignments and work with sales leadership to optimize sales force deployment and targeting.
  • Design and administer motivational Incentive Compensation (IC) plans for the field sales teams and account managers.
  • Develop, manage, and distribute sales and activity reports for the sales and marketing organizations.
  • Provide ROI analyses and measure impact of commercial initiatives to optimize commercial strategies/tactics and increase productivity.
  • Capture, collect, and process data for timely submission of state and federal aggregate spend reports.
  • Support the company annual strategic and brand planning process.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Office Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Spends approximately 90% of work time sitting and meeting with others or working at a desk and/or computer. Spends approximately 10% of work time standing or walking within the work area or at meetings and bends, twists, stoops and reaches. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds. Working conditions are normal for an office environment. The noise level is usually moderate.

  • Ability to travel up to 15%

Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 12+ years of experience in commercial operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and provide insights to inform marketing strategies.
  • Experience managing budgets and ensuring that campaigns are executed within budget constraints.
  • Knowledge of life science (pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostics) industry trends and best practices in commercial or sales operations.
  • Experience with analyzing pharmaceutical prescription data from either IQVIA or Symphony Health.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of database structures, concepts, and queries
  • Knowledge of sales force CRM systems like Veeva.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • SQL, Qlikview and/or Tableau preferred.
  • Neuroscience experience preferred.
