Senior Scientific Manager – Assay Development and Screening

Job Description
The candidate must possess strong skill sets in developing and running cell-based and biochemical assays with a meticulous and methodical approach to deliver high-quality screening and compound profiling data. The role includes on-boarding new platforms and capabilities in cell biology, oncology, inflammation and immuno-oncology, designing and conducting phenotypic, molecular and cell-based assays for evaluation of disease pathophysiology and targets in the above-mentioned areas. The candidate will also be responsible for mentoring his/her team and handling client projects as lead.
- Candidate should have excellent experience in high-throughput screening across diverse platforms in both biochemical and cell-based assays and be very well versed in using state of the art liquid handlers(e.g ECHO, Biomek, Certus etc)
- Candidates with niche competencies in areas of translational assays, primary cell-based assays, high-content screening, neuroscience and iPSCs’ experience will have an added advantage
- Be able to develop and optimize various assays, ability to establish and validate novel protocols.
- Possess excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Capable of effective planning and organizing work activities, prioritizing task completion, and meeting deadlines.
- Should be an independent thinker and be highly organized, motivated, and versatile with strong team ethics.
