As a Senior Technical Reviewer - Food Equipment, you will conduct product reviews and quality assurance reviews for a wide range of food equipment products to a variety of establish policies, guidelines and NSF Food Equipment standards. This role provides support and training to a team of Technical Reviewers and provides oversight of the certification process by completing certification decisions and quality control of product reviews to ensure accuracy and consistent decisions. As the subject matter expert, this role will collaborate with the Technical Scheme Lead and Senior Specialist to support certification requirements and process improvement initiatives. This role performs a wide range of technical, administrative and customer-related duties with varying complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality assurance reviews of products, client documentation, physical evaluations and test reports against established policies/guidelines/standards
  • Perform certification reviews of products, client documentation, physical evaluations, sample selection for testing, test reports and onsite audits against establish policies/guidelines/standards
  • Determines required follow-up for work orders (if applicable)
  • Determines required compliance testing and evaluation; documents testing results as required for certification services
  • Makes technical decision and provides technical support to account managers, clients and other NSF departments
  • Serve as mentor/trainer for technical reviewers
  • Evaluates competencies for technical reviewers
  • Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Actively par in accreditation activities as appropriate
  • Represent NSF at industry events such as trade shows, conferences and meetings
  • Develop and/or update SOPs, policies, trainings and interpretation guidelines
  • Provide response to regulatory issues and complaints in conjunction with other NSF staff and appropriate

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 3-6 years related work experience. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree with 7+ years related work experience
  • Working knowledge and experience with NSF/ANSI Standards for Food Equipment and knowledge of product certification
  • High level of technical aptitude
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workflow in a fast-paced service environment
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
