Job Description

Job Summary: Securiport is hiring a Software Engineer (3-5 years experience) to build scalable, high-impact systems supporting global border security and threat detection.

In this role, you'll develop C#/.NET backend services, APIs, and microservices that power real-time data processing and analytics platforms. You'll work closely with senior engineers and DevOps teams in an Agile environment, contributing to systems that are secure, distributed, and performance-driven.

This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer looking to deepen expertise in backend development, cloud technologies, and distributed systems while working on mission-critical applications.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain .NET (C#) applications, APIs (REST/gRPC), and microservices
  • Work with SQL Server/MySQL for data modeling, queries, and optimization
  • Contribute to distributed systems and asynchronous processing workflows
  • Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver features end-to-end (design → deployment)
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software
  • Support CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and DevOps best practices
  • Containerize applications using Docker (Kubernetes exposure is a plus)
  • Integrate messaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ (nice to have

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5 years of software engineering experience (backend-focused preferred)
  • Strong experience with C# and .NET
  • Experience building APIs and microservices architectures
  • Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL)
  • Familiarity with GitHub, version control, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Exposure to event-driven systems / message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ)
  • Front-end experience (React, JavaScript/TypeScript)
  • Experience working with large-scale data or analytics platforms

Requirements
