Job Description

POSITION:

The Sr. Manager, Hospital & Institutional Marketing is responsible for supporting the development and execution of hospital and institutional marketing strategies for the company's products. This role partners closely with Sales, Market Access and other cross-functional stakeholders to help translate brand strategy into access-focused initiatives that support formulary positioning and product utilization across hospitals and institutional health system channels.

This position reports to the Exec. Director, Digital and Omnichannel Marketing and serves as a key contributor to access-related customer engagement, field support, and execution of market access initiatives. The role requires strong collaboration across Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory/Legal/Compliance, Commercial Operations, and Executive Leadership.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Hospital & Institutional Strategy & Execution

  • Support the development of execution of hospital marketing strategies aligned with brand initiatives
  • Drive strategic planning and tactical implementation for hospital-based customer segments, including IDNs, health systems, academic medical centers, community hospitals, infusion centers and other acute-care settings
  • Assist in the development of positioning, messaging, and promotional strategies tailored to hospital stakeholders, including physicians, pharmacists, nurses, infection prevention, administrators, and value analysis committees
  • Ensure consistent execution of brand strategy across all hospital-facing channels and customer touchpoints

Cross Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Sales, Market Access and field account teams, to support aligned strategy and execution
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, and Commercial Operations to ensure consistent and coordinated customer engagement
  • Support field-based account teams (e.g., KAMs/ABDs) through development of tools, resources, and customer-facing materials
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external agency partners to support timely execution of projects and initiatives

Customer Tools & Materials

  • Assist in developing and maintaining access-focused materials, including dossiers and Pharmacy and Therapeutics kits, account tools, and customer education resources
  • Ensure materials are compliant, customer-focused, and effectively support field execution
  • Gather and incorporate field and customer feedback to continuously improve tools and materials
  • Support review and approval processes in collaboration with Regulatory/Legal/Compliance teams

Insights & Analytics

  • Monitor P&T and hospital coverage updates, usage trends, and competitive market dynamics to support strategic planning
  • Gather and analyze customer, field, and market insights to identify opportunities to improve access and product utilization
  • Support reporting and analytics related to market access initiatives and customer engagement activities
  • Help measure effectiveness of market access marketing programs and recommend optimization opportunities

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong understanding of hospital, health system, and institutional healthcare environments
  • Ability to translate brand strategy into practical, field-ready tools and materials
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on execution and follow-through

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing or related commercial roles
  • Experience supporting hospital, IDN, or institutional customers preferred
  • Experience working with or supporting field-based teams (e.g., KAMs, SAMs) preferred
