About the Role

This role leads end-to-end strategy, planning, execution, and continuous improvement of strategic meetings, congresses, and events. The Strategic Meeting Solutions Lead partners cross-functionally to deliver compliant, data-driven, and brand-aligned meetings while overseeing vendors, budgets, analytics, and execution teams.

What you'll do
  • Drive strategic vision and innovation for national and international congresses.
  • Lead end-to-end operational strategy and execution for meetings and events.
  • Align meeting strategy with communication and brand objectives across internal teams and external agencies.
  • Own the customer experience journey, including analytics, reporting, and effectiveness dashboards.
  • Prioritize customer experience to achieve congress KPIs.
  • Oversee planning, logistics, and on-site execution.
  • Maintain professional communication and follow up with suppliers, clients, and attendees.
  • Manage and reconcile budgets, accruals, and financial tracking.
  • Oversee registration platforms, eRequest workflows, and process optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with TOV, purchasing standards, and internal policies.
  • Supervise contractors, including the Meeting Specialist and Coordinator.
  • Lead vendor evaluations, performance reviews, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Ensure SOP adherence and support execution teams on compliance.
  • Maintain and improve internal playbooks and databases.
  • Oversee logistics vendors and third-party suppliers.
  • Support national and local congress planning, including budgeting, room blocks, and execution oversight.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in congress management or related field.

• Minimum 5 years Pharmaceutical or regulated-industry meeting experience.

• Advanced stakeholder and vendor management skills.

• Financial acumen, including budget management and accrual tracking.

• Ability to lead analytics and data-driven decision making.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple complex programs simultaneously.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and meeting management platforms.

• Ability to travel as required, including occasional weekends.
