As a Technical Reviewer Municipal Water Systems, you will be responsible for ensuring that technical decisions related to extraction and chemical testing and evaluations in support of certification and/or registration services meet applicable standard requirements, certification policies, and are based on sound scientific principles. Your role will be required to compile, review, and interpret product formulations and chemical information submitted in support of applications for certification and/or registration services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex product design and formulation reviews. Review and interpret product information, identify required testing and evaluations, and evaluate material extraction and performance test results in support of certification and/or registration services.

  • Evaluate changes to certified products and determine chemical testing requirements
  • Design test plans that direct laboratory testing in order to determine compliance to applicable standard.
  • Interpret standards and policies to determine new bracketing, testing, or evaluation schemes for novel products.
  • Review and determine compliance of test results.
  • Make and document technical decisions based on standard requirements, data analysis, and sound scientific principles.
  • Evaluate root cause, corrective action, and preventative action in order to resolve product non-compliances.
  • Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in natural or chemical sciences, or environmental health.
  2. High level of chemical and technical aptitude.
  3. Demonstrated experience in problem solving and analytical thinking.
  4. College-level coursework in inorganic and organic chemistry.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail.


Preferred

  1. Master's degree in natural or chemical sciences or environmental health.
  2. Two (2) or more years of related experience.
  3. Experience in conducting and/or evaluating chemistry studies.
  4. Experience in conducting and/or evaluating toxicology studies.
