Currently, we are looking to add an IT Scientific Support Technician to the team:

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee all IT responsibilities for scientific/analytical software, lab instrument control suites, and lab instrument hardware.
  • Maintain the company's backup procedures for lab instruments and data.
  • Responsible for support, resolving or escalating incidents for on-site and remote users.
  • Provide end-user support for scientific systems, computers, printers, phone system, software, and hardware.
  • Perform software installation and maintenance.
  • Responsible for conference room equipment setup, operation, and maintenance.
  • Perform IT hardware asset lifecycle duties (deployment, auditing, disposal).
  • Develop and maintain documented standard operating procedures for IT systems.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years.
    • Experience with analytical instrumentation and software such as Agilent OpenLab, Thermo Fisher Chromeleon, Waters Empower, etc.
    • Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC/GC-MS, or LC/LC-MS instruments as end-user or technical support.
  • Strong background in analytical chemistry in academic or industrial environment preferred.
  • Availability to work on-site in Ann Arbor during normal business hours and provide occasional off-hours support.
