Overview
The Vice President of Investor Relations is responsible for leading the Company's investor relations strategy and serving as the primary liaison between the company, the investment community, and the financial markets. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is a strategic leader who helps shape and deliver the company's compelling external financial narrative, ensuring clear, consistent, and transparent communication of the company's strategy, performance, and long-term value creation. Help drive share price appreciation and ultimately lowering the company's cost of capital.
Highly collaborative in nature, this position will partner closely with executive and cross-functional teams to position the company effectively with investors and analysts while supporting the Company's growth strategy and reputation in the capital markets.
Responsibilities
• Develop and lead the execution of a comprehensive investor relations strategy aligned with the company's business strategy, financial performance, and long-term growth objectives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the investment community to maintain credibility and confidence in the company's leadership and strategy.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for buy-side sell-side institutional investors, analysts, and the financial community.
• Lead the end-to-end quarterly earnings process, including drafting press releases, preparing scripts for the CEO and CFO, and creating detailed Q&A documents to anticipate analyst questions.
• Foster excellent business partnerships with finance, legal, commercial, medical and other corporate functions as required
• Coordinate closely with business partners, namely in finance, legal and corporate communications to ensure accuracy, compliance and clarity in all external financial disclosures.
• Support preparation of annual report, proxy materials, and other investor-facing communications.
• Provide executive management and board of directors with insights on investor sentiment, market trends, analyst perspectives and peer positioning.
• Monitor equity research, investor feedback, trading activity and market developments to inform leadership and shape communication strategies.
• Plan and execute investor outreach activities including investor days, roadshows, and conference participation.
• Develop targeted engagement strategies with long-term institutional investors and potential shareholders.
• Build scalable processes and tools to support the company's growing presence in the public markets.
• Establish, direct, and allocate the necessary headcount and financial resources within Investor Relations needed to support the investor relations strategy.
• Ensure the professional development of Investor Relations team members through deployment of a proactive talent management strategy, active coaching, and mentoring.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• 15+ years of relevant experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, corporate finance, or related field
• Significant experience supporting a publicly traded company; experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences strongly preferred
• Proven track record of success effectively translating business value into a compelling narrative for Wall Street
• Proven experience interacting with institutional investors and equity research analysts
• Deep understanding of SEC regulations, disclosure requirements and public company governance
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

• Working Conditions: Position may require periodic evening and weekend work, as necessary to fulfill obligations. Travel up to 25%. This is a hybrid position located in Xeris' Chicago office. A minimum of three days per week on-site is required. On-site requirements may change at management's discretion.
The level of the position will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $300,000 to $400,000. Final determination of base salary offered will depend on several factors relevant to the position, including but not limited to candidate skills, experience, education, market location, and business need. This role will include eligibility for bonus and equity. The total compensation package will also include additional elements such as multiple paid time off benefits, various health insurance options, retirement benefits and more. Details about these and other offerings will be provided at the time a conditional offer of employment is made.
