The opportunity
Within our Envision Medical Communications team, this role supports a dedicated account focused on publications and congress communications, partnering closely with clients to deliver high-quality scientific deliverables and strategic support across key medical communication initiatives.
As a (VP) Portfolio Director, Client Solutions, you will serve as a strategic leader across the account, helping guide long-term client partnerships, oversee program delivery, support business growth, and lead high-performing teams. You'll work collaboratively with scientific and cross-functional partners to ensure seamless execution across publications planning, congress activities, and broader medical communications initiatives.

Role responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a portfolio of programs and initiatives supporting publications and congress communications for a key client account.
- Serve as a strategic partner to clients by providing guidance and recommendations aligned to their scientific communication and business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting account growth and identifying opportunities to expand partnerships and services.
- Partner cross-functionally with scientific, operational, and finance teams to support resource planning, financial management, and successful account delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and support account management and program support team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Contribute to broader divisional initiatives, operational planning, and business development activities across the organization.

Skills & expertise
- Experience leading client accounts or large-scale programs within a medical communications agency environment.
- Strong understanding of publications, congress activity planning, and scientific communications deliverables.
- Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and provide strategic counsel in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, forecasting, and profitability.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities while collaborating effectively across global and cross-functional teams.
