Job Description:
Material Handler II is responsible for the safe, accurate loading and unloading of product within the distribution center. The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all-inclusive. The omission of a specific duty or responsibility will not preclude it from the position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Pallet/Case Picking:

  • Processing customer orders including but not limited to: scanning bar codes, picking and labeling boxes.
  • Pick, pack and process orders.
  • Processing orders through RF technology.
  • Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
  • Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
  • Complete all necessary RF device training to obtain the necessary profiles
  • Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.

Pallet Build:
  • Palletizing to include scanning, retrieving and placing completed orders on pallets.
  • Re-palletizing products for shipment.
  • May be responsible for dock manifest duties which includes scanning completed pallets and running the shrink wrapper.
  • May be required to transport pallets by MHE.
  • Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.

Inbound/Outbound/Inventory Movement:
  • Inbound/Outbound shipments are to be loaded/unloaded utilizing the WMS.
  • Ensure every effort is made to load/off-load pallets in a manner that promotes safety and impedes damages.
  • Completes all assigned duties in a timely manner in accordance with department standards and following department procedures.
  • May be responsible for operating the parcel manifest station.
  • May be responsible for transportation documentation
  • Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
  • Complete all necessary RF device training to obtain the necessary profiles
  • Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
  • Must follow all safety instructions to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Required to maintain current status in C2C training modules.
  • Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.

Material handling equipment:
  • Material handling equipment must be operated in a safe manner by designated associates only. All damage and/or maintenance issues must be reported immediately.
  • Equipment must be kept neat and orderly in compliance with established procedures.
  • Must be able to maintain equipment certification at all times.

Safety and Security:
  • ssociates are responsible for performing their job activities in a safe and reasonable manner and in accordance with safety requirements.
  • ssist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and conduct all activities in a manner that promotes a safe environment.
  • ll injuries, accidents, unsafe acts, hazards or conditions must be reported immediately.
  • Report any suspicious persons or activity.

Quality:
  • Understand organizational quality goals.

Sanitation and Housekeeping:
  • Maintain a clean and professional image.
  • To ensure the cleanliness of the facility, follow guidelines as outlined.
  • The associate must maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area at all times

Hazmat Training:
  • This associate may be provided with Hazmat training to include general awareness, function specific, security awareness, security plan and safety training.

Cross-training:
  • Become knowledgeable with the responsibilities of the other warehouse positions. Assist as required. Act as back up at times of absence or vacation.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma, GED or 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience with MHE. Including but not limited to Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counter Balance (slip and clamp), and Dock Stocker.
  • Must be able to obtain Forklift Certification to meet Client guidelines.
  • Good verbal communication skills.

  • May be required to operate MHE and use Voice/RF scanner.
