Is Clinical Supply the Weakest Link in Your Chain?

Discover an informative webinar on clinical supply chain management and how technology can be used for demand planning and forecasting to reduce waste, costs and patient risks.

Clinical supply chain faces challenges in navigating complex trial designs, waste reduction, cost control and sustainability. Sponsors prioritize resource mindfulness, CO2 footprint reduction and forecasting. Moreover, evolving regulations complicate drug handling, with patient-centric approaches like decentralized trials and direct-to-patient strategies.

Therefore, embracing new technologies, adapting to hybrid models and meeting sponsors’ flexibility demands are crucial. The industry is shifting towards diverse sourcing strategies, including central and local solutions.

In this webinar, the speaker will highlight the risks of a poorly managed clinical supply chain, including delayed drug availability, aggressive enrollment targets and potential commercialization delays. Drug shortages can lead to reputation loss, patient burdens and impacts on treatment efficacy and retention.

They will also discuss proactive strategies such as risk identification, market observation and scenario preparedness, as well as emphasize on leveraging technology for demand planning and collaborating with trusted partners to reduce waste, costs and patient risks.

Register for this webinar today to gain insights into clinical supply chain management and understand how technology can be used for demand planning and supply chain forecasting.

Speaker

Benedict Hirth, Global Lead Manager Supply Chain Optimization, Myonex

Benedict Hirth started his career in the pharmaceutical industry in 2014 when he joined ThermoFisher Scientific as an Associate Project Manager in the supply chain optimization field. He owned various operational project management roles with increasing responsibilities before he was named Team Leader in 2020.

In 2022, Benedict took on the role of Senior Manager and with that the responsibility of five global teams. During this time, Benedict ensured that robust supply plans were in place for the entire trial portfolio to meet the needs of the supply service lines and put the right structures in place to optimize global and regional supply strategies regarding efficiency, cost-effectiveness and continuity of patient supply.

From his beginning in supply chain management, Benedict was trained in forecasting and simulation to become a SME in the space. Benedict holds a Master’s degree in Biology with a focus in Computational Neuroscience.
