Jif Peanut Butter has announced the latest breakthrough innovation in peanut butter packaging. Jif Squeeze Creamy Peanut Butter now comes in an enjoyable new squeezable pouch.
Being able to squeeze peanut butter out of a squeezable pouch makes it easier for kids to serve themselves but also to accurately measure amounts for recipes and precise spreading for snacks such as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or pairing it with apple or celery sticks. The innovation allows you to do a lot with peanut butter without having to use a utensil such as a knife, spoon or fork. This innovation also makes it readily available for consumers whenever it’s needed.
“Jif lovers enjoy their Jif in a variety of ways—in smoothies and snacks, as a key ingredient in cooking and baking, or even eating it ‘straight up’ with a spoon,” said Rebecca Scheidler, vice president of marketing for the Jif Brand. “With our new squeezable pouch, we’re making it even easier and quicker for Jif lovers everywhere to get their Jif fix. No more ‘peanut butter knuckles’ when you’re trying to get the last ounce of goodness from the bottom of the peanut butter jar – No knife. No spoon. No problem!”
Innovation for Jif peanut butter is not something new. Earlier this year, there was a debate over the peanut butter’s brand name, “Jif versus GIF,” and they planned a whole campaign around this controversy. They then teamed up with GIPHY, one of the leading databases for gifs, to create a series of limited-edition jars.
“We’re teaming up with GIPHY to put a lid on this decade-long debate and prove there is only one Jif… it’s creamy, delicious peanut butter, not a looping picture you can send to make friends and family laugh,” said Scheidler. “So spread the word like Jif on bread—Jif is peanut butter, GIFs are animations!”
Other competitors peanut butter brands such as Skippy and Justin’s peanut butter have also introduced squeezable peanut butter packaging to accommodate their consumer needs.
The Jif Squeeze Creamy Peanut Butter comes in a 13 oz. pouch and is available at Target, Amazon and other retailers nationwide starting in July.
