Bioprocessing Sales Specialist Upstream Intensification

Drive sales execution across a multi-state territory through collaboration with Territory Managers to achieve or exceed revenue and profitability targets for the Upstream product portfolio.
Promote and sell a portfolio of upstream process solutions, clearly articulating product differentiation and value proposition within the context of customer bioprocessing workflows.
Develop and execute a regional business plan in partnership with the Regional Sales Director and VP of Sales Development, aligning commercial strategy with growth priorities.
Lead commercial negotiations with technical, procurement, and planning stakeholders to secure business and expand account penetration.
Build, maintain, and grow strategic relationships with key accounts, serving as a trusted commercial and technical partner.
Identify, develop, and convert new target accounts across the territory, expanding market presence and pipeline.
Support customers through the full development lifecycle, from lab-scale feasibility through clinical and commercial manufacturing scale-up.
Maintain accurate and timely forecasting and sales reporting using a CRM platform to ensure visibility of pipeline health and performance.
Act as the voice of the customer and market within the organization, ensuring insights are effectively communicated to internal stakeholders.
Partner with Business Development and Market Development teams to share competitive intelligence, market trends, and customer feedback in a structured and actionable way.
Support development of sales tools and collateral to enable consistent and effective field execution.
Execute full field sales responsibilities, including customer visits, technical and commercial presentations, and laboratory or on-site demonstrations where applicable.
Manage participation in trade shows and industry events, including pre-event planning, on-site execution, and structured post-event follow-up.
Remote role supporting NY, NJ, MD, DE, OH, PA, KS, and IN regions.
A minimum of a BSc degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
5-10+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry, with strong expertise in upstream processing. Broad understanding of the end-to-end bioprocessing workflow is essential.
Hands-on experience with perfusion and/or upstream intensification technologies required; experience with XCell ATF systems strongly preferred.
Demonstrated track record of sales success and new business development in a technical or solution-based selling environment.
Proven ability to build and sustain trusted, collaborative relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data, develop accurate forecasts, and support strategic decision-making.
Experience working within a matrixed commercial organization, collaborating closely with Field Application Scientists, Bioprocessing Account Managers, and Strategic Account Teams to drive customer success and business growth.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the territory as required.

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $160,000- $190,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package. We offer a wide range of benefits such as paid time off, health/dental/vision, retirement benefits and flexible spending accounts. All compensation and benefits information will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
