ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Sponsorship, the Business Development Associate will support the day-to-day operations of BioLabs' sponsorship program and related strategic initiatives. This role is responsible for coordinating sponsorship activities, supporting BioLabs' Golden Ticket corporate program, and partnering cross-functionally with operations, finance, marketing, and BioLabs Marketplace teams to ensure effective execution of sponsorship benefits and a strong partner experience.

This is a hybrid position based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support sponsorship initiatives and program activities across the BioLabs network
  • Maintain and update sponsorship CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), including contact management, contract tracking, reporting, and data accuracy
  • Coordinate with site teams to monitor sponsorship deliverables, contractual obligations, and partner engagement activities
  • Assist with sponsorship-related communications, marketing initiatives, and reporting
  • Support the end-to-end coordination of BioLabs' Golden Ticket corporate program
  • Contribute to the improvement and development of internal sponsorship processes and workflows
  • Assist in preparing proposals and presentations through market research and sponsor needs analysis
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support seamless execution of sponsorship activities and partner deliverables
  • Support communication and relationship management with sponsors, corporate partners, and external stakeholders across public and private sectors
  • Attend networking events, conferences, and sponsorship-related activities as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Life Sciences, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in program coordination, business development support, partnerships, customer success, or related functions
  • Interest in biotechnology, innovation ecosystems, startups, or life sciences industries
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment with limited supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce preferred
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and social media tools is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Willingness to attend occasional evening events and travel domestically as needed
