The Business Operations Specialist will partner with Medical & Scientific Affairs (MSA) leadership across therapeutic areas and functional groups to coordinate business development efforts, drive delivery and issue resolution, and support process improvement and revenue initiatives
- Assign and monitor all inbound request for proposals (RFP) for review to support business development with bookings growth and identify ways to continually enhance the process
- Arranges sponsor bid defense and capabilities team support to aid business development
- Drafting and revising correspondence and assisting with the preparation and distribution of various reports and presentation materials including aggregating materials and formatting.
- Work collaboratively and cross functionally with Medical & Scientific Affairs (MSA) and supporting departments on a diverse range of project initiatives including the organization of agendas and minutes
- Orchestrate the creation, management, and improvement of MS Teams channels for efficient team communication, collaboration, and data warehousing
- Collaborate and build relationships with internal stakeholders to drive change and achieve key strategic objectives through defined workstreams
- Supports revenue acceleration initiatives including tracking and entering team billable consultation hours month over month
- Works with the data science team on augmentation of various data dashboards to facilitate key performance indicators for decision making
- Assist with the review and management of study risk tracking
- Assist with study assignments by MSA staff tracking
- Focus on the continuous development of innovations and process improvement initiatives
- Prioritizes and manages multiple projects for the team and follow through on issues promptly and effectively
- Support coordination of study-specific requirements of the MSA teams
- Liaises with the salesforce technical team to troubleshoot and/or investigate new enhancements as needed
- Regularly interfaces with IT on behalf of team members to reach appropriate resolutions at both the personal and departmental level
- Facilitate interactions with procurement, contracts and other support functions working with the MSA teams
Secondary Responsibilities

- Assisting in establishing and enforcing departmental standards
- Facilitating the sharing of best practices, methods, and ideas across the organization

- Identifying training needs/learning opportunities and participating in the training and educating of staff and external customers. Responsible for his/her own professional development.
- Promoting a continuous learning environment
- Working with staff to achieve results and resolve issues
- Exploring new opportunities to add value to the organization and departmental processes through transparent workstreams/initiatives
Maintains Professional and Technical Knowledge by:
- Attending and participating in applicable company sponsored training.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate degree required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience:
- Clinical research experience within a CRO or pharmaceutical or biotech company or equivalent
- Demonstration of team building skills through previous work experience in a global work environment
- Demonstration of excellent communication, presentation, analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills through previous work experience.
- Positive, results oriented track record.
- Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to business needs.
Additional Skills:
- Strong capacity to manage own performance independently and effectively, exhibiting excellent time management, strong organizational skills and must be detail oriented
- Proven sense of urgency, with the ability to identify and articulate issues, offer solutions and follow-through to resolution
