Engineer I, Manufacturing Test

We are expanding our elite Factory Software Development team with the addition of an Engineer I, Manufacturing Test. In this role, you will support manufacturing test operations by developing, maintaining, and improving production test plans, procedures, fixtures, and automated test systems for active implantable medical devices. You will help ensure test readiness for new product introductions and sustainment by analyzing test data, troubleshooting on-the-line failures, and driving timely disposition and corrective actions with cross-functional partners. You will document results in accordance with quality system requirements and implement continuous improvements that increase yield, reliability, and throughput.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing test plans, procedures, and automated test systems to support production and new product introduction.
  • Execute verification and validation activities; analyze test data, troubleshoot failures, and document results to support product quality and compliance.
  • Support design and implementation of test fixtures and hardware/software interfaces (e.g., microcontroller/microprocessor-based systems) used in manufacturing environments.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and Supply Chain to resolve test-related issues and implement robust production solutions.
  • Participate in project planning and execution for test system updates, capacity improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives; track tasks and communicate status.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve test methods, processes, and documentation to increase efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the manager.

Your Profile
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
  • Experience advanced programming languages and software tools for test automation.
  • Working knowledge of microcontroller/microprocessor-based systems and basic electronic test equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues, analyze data, and document results clearly.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing test, automation, or a related engineering role.
  • Experience with AI-assisted programming tools.
  • Experience with C# software development.
  • Experience with robotics and machine vision.
  • Experience in electronic circuit design and system integration.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
    Experience in medical device or similarly regulated industry.
  • Experience in failure analysis and root cause investigation.

  • The employee is also required to interact with a computer for extended periods of time and communicate with co-workers.
