Engineering Sales Specialist

Job Description
General Description: Increase company sales and profits by establishing new and maintaining current engineering accounts by regularly calling on and servicing the accounts in accordance with all JMP corporate goals, strategies, and philosophies.
Primary account focus to be consulting engineers, but could also include contractors, industrial, institutional & government facilities.

Scope of Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all sales related activities for assigned accounts.
- Influence job specifications with the goal of Preferential or Proprietary JMP Product and Systems specifications.
- Provide design and application assistance to all accounts and other JMP personnel according to industry and factory information.
- Be active in all applicable professional organizations.
- Utilize company resources in a manner to obtain maximum value.
- Present educational seminars, product demonstrations, and lunch & learns.
- Maintain detailed call reports, job follow up information, customer databases, expense records and other sales related documents as requested by management.
- Regularly participate in product training and system application classes at factories and JMP locations.
- Assist other JMP personnel in sales, marketing, and engineering as needed.
- Assist management in meeting factory sales quotas and product promotions.
- Conduct oneself in an ethical manner at all times
- Strive to be a market leader in HVAC & Plumbing systems and demonstrate expert level knowledge on all JMP product offerings.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Work and Skill Requirements:
- Mechanical systems aptitude
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Presentation skills
- Basic computer skills (MS Office products, email, and internet)
- Time Management
- Good driving record
Other requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license in the United States
- Pass a toxicology screen
Education Requirements
- 4-year college degree (Engineering or Technical Field preferred) or equivalent work experience.
