POSITION SUMMARY:

The Institutional Business Manager Promotes products from Rigel's oncology portfolio to meet/exceed assigned territory sales goals within Institutional, System of Care/IDN, and VA level accounts across the U.S. Promotional efforts focus on strategic execution, understanding account and provider needs, developing effective business plans, clinical selling, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The IBM builds compliant, productive relationships with Key Thought Leaders, prescribers, system influencers, and other members of the patient care team, and demonstrates strong business acumen and resourcefulness in support of patient needs.

Large geography with over 10 states, expanding from the Pacific Northwest through the Rocky Mountains and Great Plains. May be up to 50% travel including local and major conferences. Responsible for cultivating, influencing, and growing top academic centers and IDNs in the territory. Home base near a major airport ideal.

Salary Range: $206,000 to $245,000

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and maintain productive customer relationships; identify and maximize engagement opportunities, including conferences.
  • Develop tactical and strategic plans to optimize customer engagement by analyzing market data and prioritizing opportunities.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support customer product-adoption decisions by communicating key product messages across the assigned geography.
  • Provide business updates regarding challenges, opportunities and progress within assigned accounts; collaborate regularly with extended territory partners to ensure promotional execution.
  • Support a culture of engagement, teamwork, and accountability by contributing positively to extended team efforts.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum three (3) years Institutional sales experience; oncology preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years large-account management experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years Hematology/Oncology sales experience.
  • Proven success consistently delivering above-quota results.
  • Ability to travel as needed, which may exceed 50%, including overnights and weekends.
  • Based in the Denver or Chicago area ideal.

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk; sit; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Some travel may be required.
