Job Description
The Cybersecurity Intern will support the organization's security program through hands-on work across vulnerability management, risk management, security operations, asset management, and threat intelligence. This structured 11-week program provides foundational learning and meaningful project contributions.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in onboarding, security policy review, and tool access setup.
- Learn cybersecurity fundamentals including CVEs, CVSS, and threat intelligence.
- Support vulnerability management tasks with Qualys, CrowdStrike, and Armis.
- Assist with asset inventory validation and CMDB cleanup.
- Contribute to updating policies, standards, and procedures.
- Perform basic log reviews (Entra ID, Okta, Splunk) and shadow investigations.
- Support KPI dashboard updates and reporting automation.
- Conduct CVE research and threat monitoring.
- Complete a capstone project and deliver final presentation.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong interest in cybersecurity and emerging threats.
- Familiarity with IT systems or security tools a plus.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
