This position will be responsible for the stewardship of the Commercial master data assets, with focus on customer master data including key attributes for prescribers, accounts, payers, and affiliations. As a member of the Commercial Data Management team, this position will report to the Director, Commercial Master Data Management, and work closely with Field Operations, Analytics, Sales, IT, and data management service providers to manage and enhance our master data, research and resolve data issues / discrepancies, and improve relevant systems and processes. In addition, this position will collaborate with other functions including Legal, Finance, and external vendors to enforce data governance standards, policies, and best practices, ensuring data quality and reliability to enable more accurate and insightful analytics, reporting, and decision-making. This position will work a weekly hybrid schedule in our Waltham office.

Responsibilities

Data Stewardship & Operations
  • Manage a team of data stewards (internal and/or external) to provide direction and guidance to manage the Commercial master data assets
  • Lead timely resolution of field-submitted Data Change Requests (DCRs) and data inquiries from field and home office users
  • Monitor incoming requests, research data issues / discrepancies, make decisions, implement changes in systems and processes, and communicate decisions back to impacted teams
  • Create and maintain department work instructions and documentation for master data management

Data Quality & Analytics
  • Independently conduct regular data quality assessments, identify issues, and collaborate with relevant teams to rectify data discrepancies and anomalies
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to improve master data quality for customers including HCP, HCO, and affiliations
  • Create and maintain exception reports using SQL, MDM, or CRM report building functions to identify and correct inaccurate customer data attributes
  • Provide standard and ad hoc analysis and reports to generate insights and enrich master data

Collaboration & Innovation
  • Participate in and lead discussions on master data in cross-functional meetings such as the Commercial Data & Operations End-to-End meetings and CRM and Sales Reporting enhancement meetings
  • Collaborate with commercial stakeholders, IT, and external vendors on requirement gathering, development, and testing of new data and system changes
  • Develop and provide training and guidance to teams across the Commercial organization on data stewardship best practices and process involving data
  • Engage with industry resources to learn about best practices in maintaining high quality master data
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of advanced technologies, including AI/ML for automated data anomaly detection, processing, and stewardship

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 4-6 years' experience supporting pharmaceutical commercial operations with 1-2 years' experience in an MDM related role required
  • Experience with MDM concepts such as match & merge, survivorship, and data standardization required
  • Experience with Veeva CRM and Informatica MDM preferred
  • Experience with common pharmaceutical commercial datasets such as IQVIA OneKey, Xponent, DDD, Claims data, Formulary data, Specialty Pharmacy data preferred
  • Understand the core principles and dimensions of data management within the life
    science sector
  • Proficient with SQL/Snowflake, Tableau, and Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $126,000 to $147,000. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual performance pay bonus.
